Lucy Staring Down Sid the Turtle in the Sink
Getting the hang of the new macro lens, having virtually no depth of field and trying to hand hold the lens while the cat moves around is quite frustrating!
Although spring is nearly here, and then there will be plenty of stationary things to practice on!

Adam, what incredible detail this offers, but you are perfectly correct about the lack of depth of field to the lens. In fact I was looking at getting a macro lens myself, but given the other choices on my wish list, I am now leaning more towards applying my savings towards a faster zoom, something in the f2.8 range.

wow. wicked shot! I was staring hard into her eye trying to figure out what she was staring at… then read the caption, thankfully, so I could stop straining myself to figure it out.
