Its quite fantastic Engineer porn, just for the fact that it will show you how to draw any view or orientation you want with a pencil and paper!
Today’s pic is the logo on the front of the book, I liked how the macro lens brought out the texture of the cover, books just don’t seem to be bound this good anymore, because this copy has been well used!

More fun playing with fire!
I like the way this one turned out, because well, the first 4 attempts to photograph this with some other ideas all failed horribly, alcohol doesn’t burn all that well, the butane torch ran out of fuel, alcohol let me down again, and one other experiment failed
So I found a bottle of teflon chain lube for my bike chain with a big “flammable” logo on it! BINGO! so I got this one by gently blowing on the flame to make it a bit bigger and irregular in its pattern
That and 5 frames per second helped me get this one too!

I love chemistry! starting your toilet on fire is one of the few small pleasures left in life….
LOL, it gets kinda panicky because I’m trying to meter flames dancing out of the damn bowl about a foot high (maybe a 1/2 cup of alcohol was too much) and the light meter is all over the place, several times I had to flush my subject and wait for everything to cool down!
warning kids, I’m not responsible if you burn your toilet, shithouse, outhouse, cabin, or space station down because you thought it would be fun to “light the toilet on fire!”
Sadly enough, this is not the first time I’ve lit a toilet on fire, cept the last one was an outhouse that was a lot harder to put out……
