Out of inspiration, and trying to chase the cat down because she was all wound up and running all over the house, doing backflips and all sorts of other crazy stunts, she managed to lay down for a minute and I snapped a few, but nothing really great, so I set the camera on the ground and was thinking and just pushed the shutter button down and it focused and clicked, and voila
something way better than what I could have thought up tonite

Went out to Castrol Raceway to catch some dirt oval track with my friend Vicki and her sister Sherry
Got there a bit early and caught the end of the motorbike drags!

I rode 31km today, and what a wonderful ride it was, well up until the last 1 km when I jumped off a curb and landed on a piece of glass and had to walk home in my riding shoes
I’ve basically stopped driving my truck now due to the price of gas, and started riding my bike to work every day
So far this week I’ve put on 91km on the bike and saved myself boat loads of money that I would have spent on gas!
unfortunately I need a new bottom bracket, but hey, thats the price of admission right?

Ended up pulling out a pair of neutral density filters and filddling with them tonite, I like the effect it gave the setting sun, it really eliminated the brightness from the sun in the sky!
I guess a ND4 + ND8 stacked together will do that for you

Adam Vs. The Computers | Day 118

If anyone is keeping track, the score is now Adam 42 – Computer 0

Adam always wins against the computer no matter what it throws his way
Some swearing, beating of keyboards and general malaise directed towards the computer, but everything seems to be right in the universe again!
The desktop seems to be a Corsair XMS 1GB memory stick that seems to have failed in a spectacular way, dumping everything that was written on it and giving me nice Blue Screens O Death
Fortunately after testing it in each slot by itself, the computer was crashing faster than ever, or just BSOD’ing before it even got started!
Put in memory stick #2 of the Corsair XMS 1GB and its been running for about 15 minutes now

Unfortunatly I’m not entirely comfortable downloading my pictures to a computer that at the moment is being held together by duct tape and hope, you have to miss out on the picture of the day
I did take one, I have witnesses, but it just might be a few days before I get back to the 366 Project.
First priority is to make sure the computer is running stable, because I would really crap my pants if it BSOD’d in the middle of a picture download and god forbid bugger up one of my Sandisk Extreme IV cards!

Fortunately I have 12GB more of camera memory left so that should keep me in business until I get this stupid computer business figured out

Your probably asking why aren’t you posting from the laptop? huh huh? “we want some pictures”
well the truth is I dont trust it all that much at the moment either, it has been exibiting the same signs as the desktop…..

I’ve managed to wreck two computers today!
First the one at work took a crap on me today, then I get home and fire up the desktop and it takes a crap on me
So unfortunately, not much of a pic for tonite, but it is a pic and it is whats going down tonite
